We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Storekeeper to manage the receipt, storage, issuance and monitoring of hotel supplies, materials and inventory. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock records, ensuring proper storage and stock rotation, monitoring inventory levels and minimising losses, damages and wastage.
Receive and inspect incoming goods, supplies, materials and equipment delivered to the hotel. Verify quantities, quality and specifications of received items against purchase orders, invoices and delivery documents. Record all goods received accurately in stock registers or inventory management systems. Properly arrange and store items according to their type, usage, storage requirements and expiry dates. Issue supplies and materials to authorised departments based on approved requisitions. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all stock received, issued, returned, damaged or disposed of. Monitor stock levels and notify management or the procurement team when items require replenishment. Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile physical inventory with recorded stock levels. Monitor expiry dates and ensure proper stock rotation, particularly for food, beverages and other perishable items. Ensure the store is clean, organised, secure and properly maintained at all times. Implement appropriate measures to prevent theft, loss, damage, spoilage and unnecessary wastage. Report damaged, expired, missing or slow-moving stock to management. Maintain proper documentation for all goods received and issued. Liaise with the procurement, purchasing, kitchen, housekeeping and other departments regarding stock requirements. Assist in preparing periodic inventory and stock reports for management. Support internal and external stock audits and assist with resolving inventory discrepancies. Ensure inventory is stored and handled in accordance with health, safety and hygiene standards. Restrict access to the store to authorised personnel. Monitor the condition of storage facilities and report maintenance or security concerns promptly. Perform other inventory and store-related duties as assigned by management.
Performance Expectations
Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records at all times. Ensure proper receipt, storage, and issuance of hotel supplies. Conduct regular stock counts and promptly report discrepancies. Maintain appropriate stock levels and minimise stock-outs. Reduce wastage, damage, theft, and avoidable inventory losses. Ensure all stored items are properly labelled, organised, and safely maintained. Release stock only upon proper authorisation and documentation. Maintain accurate records of purchases, receipts, issues, and balances. Support smooth hotel operations by ensuring departments receive required supplies on time.
Qualifications and Experience
OND/HND/Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing and Supply, Business Administration, Accounting or a related field. 1–3 years of relevant experience in storekeeping, inventory management, warehouse operations or a similar role. Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, hospitality, retail or related environment is an advantage. Good understanding of inventory management and stock-control procedures. Strong numerical, record-keeping and documentation skills. Good knowledge of stock rotation and management of perishable items. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or inventory management systems is an advantage. Strong attention to detail and organisational ability. Ability to maintain accurate records and identify discrepancies. High level of honesty, integrity and accountability. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with suppliers and different departments.

Ability to use inventory management systems and Microsoft Office tools. Strong integrity and ability to handle company assets responsibly.
The successful candidate must be able to work on-site at the assigned Client location in Berger or Abule Egba, Lagos. Working days, hours, probation terms, and any branch rotation will be confirmed in the employment offer.
