The Supply Chain Officer is responsible for coordinating and supervising supply chain activities to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and efficient flow of goods, materials, and services from suppliers through procurement, inventory, warehousing, logistics, and final delivery. The role provides operational leadership to the supply chain function, ensures adequate stock availability, manages supplier relationships, monitors logistics performance, supports cost optimization, and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.

Job Functions

Develop and coordinate supply plans based on demand, inventory levels and operational requirements, while monitoring the end-to-end supply chain and identifying potential risks or disruptions. Supervise procurement activities, review purchasing and supplier terms, monitor supplier performance, maintain supplier relationships, support negotiations and identify alternative sourcing opportunities. Monitor inventory levels, stock movements, reorder and safety stock levels, stock aging and stock-outs; supervise stock counts and reconciliation while ensuring proper storage and efficient inventory utilization. Prepare supply chain performance reports, monitor key performance indicators, analyze supply chain data, track expenditure and identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with approved supply chain policies and procedures, identify and mitigate supply risks, maintain proper documentation, support audits and promote ethical procurement practices.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree or HND in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. Professional certification such as CIPS, CILT, APICS/ASCM, or equivalent is an advantage. 4–7 years' relevant experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, inventory, or operations. Previous supervisory or team-lead experience is preferred. Experience with ERP, procurement, inventory, or supply chain management systems. Strong Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills. Experience in clinical settings is an advantage.
