Job Summary
This job role ensures expedited and optimal performance of technical activities in the Business Hub.
Job Responsibilities
Coordinates the activities of the technical crew in carrying out technical operations at the Business Hub to ensure high reliability/availability of the network.
Ensures technical assets and equipment function optimally (transformers, cables, etc.)
Ensure prompt response to customer complaints about network / technical aspects.
Oversees the update route length of 33/11/0.415kV networks.
Ensures all field activities are carried out according to safety standards.
Escalates network and equipment failures that cannot be resolved at the Business Hub to the regional office.
Monitors contractors to ensure that work or services delivered conform with IBEDC specifications.
Ensures optimal control of power supply to customers in line with the Serviced Tariff. (Energy Management).
Prepares regular and ad-hoc reports to relevant stakeholders.
Perform any other sundry assignments as requested by the Technical Manager/ BHM.
Job Requirements
First Degree in Electrical Engineering; a postgraduate qualification in power systems engineering or management fields is required B.Sc., B.Eng., or HND
Possession of certifications in Engineering is required; Membership in a professional body is required e.g., NSE, COREN.
At least 7+ years of varied maintenance and operational experience in the Power or Telecommunications Sector. At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory role
