Job Title: Waiter / Waitress
Location: Gwarinpa, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time, shift-based (evenings, weekends & public holidays)
Reports to: Restaurant Supervisor
Core Purpose
Deliver polished, anticipatory, Apple-level service across the restaurant, wine bar, lounge, open-air space and conference sitouts. Make every guest feel welcomed, remembered and well looked after.
Key ResponsibilitiesGreet guests within 30 seconds and provide warm, personal service.
Take accurate orders, recommend dishes/wine/cocktails, and handle special requests/allergies.
Serve food and drinks correctly and check back promptly.
Maintain tables, process payments discreetly, and handle complaints calmly.
Know the full menu, wine list and cocktails.
Support team members and uphold hygiene, safety and brand standards.
RequirementsMinimum: SSCE/WAEC/NECO with credits in English & Maths.
Preferred: OND/HND/BSc in Hospitality or related field.
1–3 years experience in a restaurant, hotel or lounge preferred (strong attitude can compensate).
Food Handler certificate, Responsible Service of Alcohol and First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
Fluent English; additional languages is an advantage.
Excellent communication, attention to detail, calm under pressure, and genuine hospitality.
Other Notes:Uniform provided; strict grooming standards apply.
Physically demanding (standing 8–10 hours, carrying trays).
Clear career path from Waiter → Senior Waiter → Supervisor and beyond.
Full training provided.
