Job Summary
The Warehouse Operations Manager will oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, release authorization, warehouse inspection and facility maintenance. This role is responsible for driving operational efficiency, maintaining safety standards, leading warehouse staff, and optimizing supply chain performance.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management: Direct daily coordination, receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations to ensure optimal throughput and accuracy.
Ensure all stock received is properly counted, inspected, recorded and stored.
Monitor stock movements and ensure that all issues, transfers and receipts are properly authorized and documented.
Ensures regular physical stock counts and reconciliation of physical stock with system records across all warehouses
Investigate stock variances, shortages, excesses and discrepancies and provide appropriate recommendations.
Oversee the warehousing department, train, supervise, and mentor warehouse staff; manage scheduling, performance evaluations, and team productivity goals.
Oversee inventory accuracy, cycle counts, stock allocation, report, and audits; utilize Warehouse Management Systems to track movement and minimize shrinkage.
Enforce local health, safety, and regulatory compliance implement safety protocols and conduct regular safety inspections.
Identify bottlenecks, streamline workflows, and implement lean warehousing best practices to increase operational speed and reduce cost.
Liaise with transport providers, carriers, vendors, and internal departments to manage schedules and resolve logistics issues.
Manage the operational budget, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, lead time and so on.
Key Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.
3–5 years of experience in warehouse management or logistics operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership/supervisory role.
