Job Title: Primary School Digital Literacy Teacher
Location: Surulere, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
Teach primary school pupils basic computer skills, including computer operations, keyboarding, mouse usage, and basic troubleshooting.
Introduce pupils to essential digital tools, applications, and age-appropriate educational software.
Teach basic coding, computational thinking, and problem-solving skills using age-appropriate platforms.
Develop engaging and interactive lesson plans in line with the school curriculum.
Integrate digital literacy competencies, learning goals, and objectives into classroom activities.
Organise practical activities and projects to enhance pupils' digital skills and creativity.
Promote responsible and safe use of technology, including basic internet safety and digital citizenship.
Assess pupils' progress, maintain accurate academic records, and provide constructive feedback.
Collaborate with other teachers and school coordinators to integrate technology into teaching and learning.
RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Education, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Relevant professional certifications, such as Microsoft, Google, or other recognised ICT certifications, are an added advantage.
Passion for teaching young learners and fostering digital literacy.
Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
Ability to simplify technical concepts for primary school pupils.
Good knowledge of 21st-century teaching methods and educational technology.
Creativity, patience, and the ability to create an engaging learning environment.
TRCN Certification is an added advantage.
