We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Warehouse Manager
Locations: Abuja (FCT) and Kano
Employment Type: Full-time
What You'll Do
Run daily warehouse operations. Oversee receiving, put-away, storage, order picking, and dispatch so goods move accurately and on schedule.
Own inventory accuracy. Maintain real-time stock records, lead regular cycle counts and full stocktakes, and investigate and resolve discrepancies quickly.
Manage the team. Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise warehouse assistants and forklift operators; set clear performance expectations and hold the team to them.
Enforce safety and compliance. Maintain a safe working environment in line with health and safety standards, keep equipment properly maintained, and run regular safety checks.
Optimize layout and workflow. Continuously improve how the warehouse is organized to reduce handling time, damage, and wasted space
Control costs. Manage warehouse budgets, reduce waste and shrinkage, and negotiate with vendors for consumables, equipment, and maintenance.
Coordinate with the wider business. Work closely with procurement, logistics, credit, and sales teams to align stock levels with demand and financing schedules, and report on KPIs like order accuracy, turnaround time, and inventory turns.
What You'll Bring
3–4 years of experience in warehouse or inventory management, ideally in a fast-moving distribution, retail, or industrial goods environment.
Proven ability to manage a team and hold people accountable to targets.
Working knowledge of inventory management systems and basic reporting/Excel skills.
Comfort with physical, on-site work and a hands-on leadership style.
It will be an advantage if you have experience handling solar, HVAC, or electrical/technical equipment, have managed warehouses supporting B2B or trade finance operations, or hold a forklift or warehouse safety certification.
