Summary
A Telecommunications Company in FCT – Abuja is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the Company's financial records, reconciliations, statutory tax compliance, reporting and day-to-day accounting operations in line with Nigerian regulations, IFRS and internal controls.
Key Responsibilties
Maintain accurate books of account and general ledger.
Prepare monthly bank, supplier, customer and intercompany reconciliations.
Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
Prepare payroll schedules and statutory deductions.
Compute and file VAT, WHT, PAYE, CIT and other applicable statutory returns.
Prepare monthly management accounts, cash-flow reports and budget-versus-actual analysis.
Maintain the fixed asset register and manage petty cash.
Support budgeting, forecasting, external audits and tax audits.
Maintain effective financial records and internal controls.
RequirementsBachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
ACA (ICAN) or ACCA qualification is required.
ACTI qualification is an advantage.
3–5 years' post-qualification experience in accounting.
Experience in Telecommunications or a regulated services business is an advantage.
Hands-on experience with Sage, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, ERP or similar accounting systems.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Sound knowledge of IFRS and Nigerian tax legislation.
Strong analytical, reporting and reconciliation skills.
High level of accuracy, integrity and attention to detail.
Ability to meet strict month-end and statutory deadlines.
SalaryN200,000 - N210,000 monthly.
