Job Summary
The Inventory Officer/Supervisor is responsible for monitoring, recording, and managing stock levels to ensure accurate tracking of materials and products.
This role involves supervising inventory staff, maintaining records, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Control:Track and record incoming and outgoing stock.
Maintain accurate inventory databases and documentation.
Conduct routine stock counts and reconcile variances.
Warehouse Management:Supervise storage, labeling, and organization of goods.
Ensure compliance with safety and housekeeping standards.
Coordinate with logistics for timely dispatch and delivery.
Reporting & Documentation:Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
Provide updates to management on stock levels and shortages.
Support audits and inspections with accurate records.
Team Supervision:Lead and train inventory clerks and warehouse staff.
Assign tasks and monitor performance.
Promote adherence to company policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Social Science, Accounting, or related field.
2–4 years’ experience in inventory or warehouse management.
Strong knowledge of inventory software and ERP systems.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to lead teams and enforce discipline.
Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
